School Awards

Drapers Mills Primary Academy is extremely proud to announce we have been awarded the Kent School Award for Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing.

Awarded by the Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust this award recognises all the hard work that goes into ensuring all areas of the school community are nurtured, supported and are able to access appropriate support if required. It demonstrates our teams commitment to adopting a whole school approach to emotional health and wellbeing across the whole school community.

The Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust highlighted the following standout features in our application:

  • Strong strategic and embedded approach of the senior leadership team across the whole school community
  • The wide ranging and targeted work to support and improve attendance
  • The support, engagement opportunities and resources offered to parents and carers
  • The many and varied curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities and clubs available to the pupils to support emotional wellbeing.
  • The strong ethos of pupil voice – listening and responding
  • CPD and support for staff development and wellbeing support
  • The targeted interventions/programmes and the ongoing identification and provision of support where necessary
