Uniform
We have a school uniform at Drapers Mills which we require children to wear at all times.
The uniform is practical and comfortable and gives the children a sense of belonging to the school.
With the exception of our jumpers and cardigans much of our uniform can be purchased from high street stores. Our branded school uniform is available to purchase at The Schoolwear Centre in Margate: http://www.schoolwearcentre.net/
We also have a range of second-hand school uniform available at greatly reduced prices. Please contact office@dmpa-tkat.org for more information.
Please make sure all uniform is labelled.
Alongside our school uniform it is expected that children will only wear one set of small stud earrings if they have pierced ears, which will need to be removed or covered for p.e lessons- our staff cannot do this for the children.
During term-time pupils are asked not to have fashion hairstyles which include: dyed or streaked hair, shaved patterns, mohawks, lines and tramlines. Colourful hair braids, tinsels and feathers should not be worn.
Long hair (below shoulder length) should be tied back. Hair accessories should be minimal, plain and in school colours. Hair should be kept out of children’s eyes using headbands, clips and slides; again plain using school colours.
